Being a renter bites and I'm sure everyone will tell you this. Sure, being a homeowner has it's own issues... The work is never done and there is no one to complain to but yourself when something is broken.
That said, we have lost water more times than I even remember since we've moved here to Fox Run apartments, owned by the Solomon organization. These workmen come and shut off the water without ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER. So, I'll have clothes washing in the washing machine and will be in the middle of a rare instance of baking and I'll turn on the tap and NOTHING.
One time, my daughter had just gotten herself filthy from just being, well, a child. I was preparing to put her in the tub on a SATURDAY night for Pete's sake. Turn on the tub faucet and NOTHING.
This has happened over and over and over and over. Each time, they're "fixing" something down there. I hear sawing. They are sawing at pipes... what kind of "fixing" do you do to pipes by sawing??? I'm no expert but if you're sawing away and whatever is going on continues to break... well...
YOU'RE NOT FIXING IT!!!!!
Today, I just couldn't take it. I yelled at the workmen "I'm sick of not having water!!! SICK OF IT!!!" into the hole in the wall in my laundry room (straight shot down to the workmen). I can hear them sawing and muttering every freakin time they come to "fix."
Is it the fault of the workmen that their employer can't supply the basic necessities of life to their apartment renters? NOPE. Do I care after ALL THIS TIME? Not really.
Solomon Organization... Online people rant about how much your company STINKS. I'm inclined to agree. We pay a crapload of rent for this apartment relatively speaking and to end up with no water??? INEXCUSEABLE!!!!
So now I've lost the window of time to accomplish what I had planned while Em is in school this morning. I have a partially made gluten free muffin recipe in bowls in my kitchen. I have soaking wet and soapy clothes sitting in my washing machine.
Things break and need to be fixed. I understand that. BUT HOW MANY TIMES DOES THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN??? I've reached my breaking point with this water issue as you can see. I called the office and, of course, the NICE woman answers which sucks because I have to try to calmly complain and rant at her without cursing. Argh! I know it's not her fault but I was clear to tell her that I'm NOT happy with the company. I love how they call themselves an "organization" like their a freakin non-profit helping the greater good too... While I'm listing things that annoy me about this company.
Thanks Solomon Organization for making my life difficult OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!
